Nah, don't have a notion. Does that make me a youngster then?

Was talking about you over the weekend actually.

Diff spelling cause I wasn't able to use my original spelling . You were the chap with the white glanza shape starlet with a turbo lump dropped in. I think ya said you and your dad did the work on it. You were looking into an ep85 awd if I remember right

Still in the Vogue Owen (or maybe Eoin?) must dig out a few vintage snaps for the padawans to see.

Please tell me you still have the GT stashed somewhere?

Owen ! You'll be sad to hear I sold the GT last August for a mere €2500. It stood me €14k between buying it and doing the work on it. I bought it in October 2004..I bought it with 99000 Kms and sold it with 140000. It hurt me to sell it but times have changed for me . I got married, built a house and my dad( who also was my workmate) passed away suddenly in July 2010. He was always in the shed with me while I worked on the car and the memories just killed me. On the up side I bought a GSX-R!!! I loved that car. Some baby to take bends she was. I went to Santa Pod in it too and the head gasket was blown....drove there! Drag raced there! Drove home from there! All with the gasket blown. Cracking little car

Sorry to hear about your father Owen, the time keeps marching unfortunately..

Hope the GT got a good home. There's something about an Advanced model that keeps you smiling!

It made me smile for sure.... Yep it got a good home. A young lad whose friend knew about the car approached me,and inquired about buying it. He wanted a GT so he got one....a damn good one at that. Dig up some of them pics from middle ages so I can have a giggle. I presume lots of the old stock members are gone. Macker ,Domo,DunnerGT,Tooler and that lunatic Gary Reilly. Sound bunch of lads .

Thats the one, got the 85 in the end.

Are you getting yourself another EP?

No plans (money really) to get an ep. But never say never. And if I ever do it will be a 71 with a 4e or a mk 1 82. Always loved the mk 1 . I still have bits off starlets in the shed. Even when I see a proper modded, mint starlet today I still stop amd look. Most are shit heaps now though. Since I was 15 I loved the GT. I bought my first one in June 2002. No hatch back in the area could touch me for acceleration back then. And I could hassle a standard UK spec WRX up to 110 mph. . And not many believed me that it was a 1300 either. Are Trevor and YBY(John) still about. Trevor imported one of (if not the first) GT's if I remember correctly.

Trevor has not been on much and is out of the car game due to some health issues, YBY is in Australia working with a tuning company there, getting plenty of nice cars to work on.
