Go dowm to a local enginering firm i assure you they will be able to do it or somewere that deals with hydrolics they will do a barra job for you mate ;)
cleaning aluminium to get a good finnish and to remove any paint ect did it in a diluted nitric acid any acid like that works just dont use caustic as that loves to eat aluminium ;)
Or just pop down to a place that refurbs ally wheels and get them to dip your inte in the batch to strip any...
humm cole could have hit the nail on the head here but cant understand how the manifold and turbo are glowing easily what kinda of driving style is this to get it glowing on a road as expected on rr ect not seen mine glowing whilst driving on the road before :confused:

cure is simple mate just nip down b and q buy some wire wool shove it all up there in a pipe and secure with a self tapper in bottom just for the test :p have this trouble every year ha ha ha :homer:
one of the silencers from the fujitsubu cat backs would be ideal mate as they have a nice tame pur as a full zorst so side exit would big it up slightly but would still keep it tamed
pop down to a local tool suppliers and get your self some vernier calipers like these
