je piston question

have a set of je pistons but there i no groove in them to fit the clips for holding the gudgen pins in. are they a press fit? the pins wont push through the pistons by hand but will push through the rods

It's the rod that contains the press fit, not the pistons. They need to rotate freely on the pin.

thats on standard rods. the scat forged rods are floating.
the standard gudgen pins slide through the je piston freely just checked so the aftermarket ones must be an interference fit. can anyone whoes running je pistons confirm this?

putting pressure on the piston like that will most likely crack it if not will defo egg shape it. do it right dude you dont want to break expensive pistons like that.

Where did your pins come from?
If the pins are the original JE ones then it should be fine to press them at a reputable place :)

put the pins in a frezzer for a few days make them realy realy cold if you have some liquid nitrogen lying around would work perfect :)but they should slide into the piston as long as there not way too bad for the piston it might be cheaper then getting them pressed
