Help with turbo info please

I am currently running an forged engine on a TD05, but there is loads of lag approx 3500 to 4000 rpm before the turbo kicks in. is there a more suitable turbo that pulls harder than a TD04 but has not got the lag of the TD05 that will fit on the same manifold as the TD05
any advice will be greatly received, cheers

Mate dont give up if you want the turbo to kick in early first transfer to 1.5litre 5e then make the exhaust system from the turbo to the rear of the car very free-flowing with little back pressure. Remove excess catalytic converters from the exhaust system.

Port and polish the turbine. Add a ceramic heatcoating. For example, the Monster Port service by Deadbolt Enterprises is very effective for quickening spool up by 300-500 rpm.

Smooth turbo inlet and intercooler piping. Topmount intercooler preferred over front mount.

Heat wrap the exhaust components with copper insulated wrap.

Increase compression.

Methanol injection

Lightened crank pulley will allow the engine to rev into the powerband faster, effectively allowing the turbo to spool faster.
