It 92 or 93 for cars not to have cat test but also if your car was made between July 94 and august 95 it doesn't need a cat test if it can't be found on the vosa system which they ain't on coz they imports so u get basic emissions test

A GT first registered before 31st July 1995 only has to pass a basic idle emissions test, no CAT is required for the MOT test.

Hmmm I always though any car registered in 1993 or before does not require a cat.
Im confused now!

If the vehicle was type approved for the UK and registered after the 31st July 1992 then it would need a CAT and has to pass a cat test. If the vehicle has been imported with a declared first registration that's prior to 31st July 1995 and a chassis and engine match cannot be found in the MOT emissions database, then a non CAT idle emissions test should be carried out.
