Help needed 4efte distributor

Hi Guys

I am hoping somebody can help me out.

So the guy who wired my distributor to my ecu has mistakenly grounded the wrong pick up teeth on my dizzy.

As i am situated in SA i cannot get a replacement dizzy.

Can anybody advise which other Toyota uses the same distributor?

i was told the 20valve 4age might be same, is this true.

Please advise Urgently as i can only get the car tuned up to 5500rpm after that the spark just can manage to jump the gap at 1.2bar boost from a td04l.

Hey bro,

Sorry to hear of the drama. Looks like the 4EFTE distributor part number is 19235-11070 (1989-1995) and changed to 19235-11330 (1996-1999). This would fall into line with the change from GT to Glanza V.

Using ToyoDIY to search the part number the earlier version is used in:

STARLET
Japan 12/1989-12/1995 19-02
12/1989-12/1995 EP82-AGPQY 19-02

SERA
Japan 03/1990-11/1995 19-02
03/1990-11/1995 EXY10-ACPGH 19-02

CORSA/TERCEL
Japan 09/1990-08/1994 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-AEPVH 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-AGMVH 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-AGPVH 19-02

09/1990-08/1994 EL43-BEPVH 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-BGMVH 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-BGPVH 19-02

COROLLA2
Japan 09/1990-08/1994 19-02
09/1990-08/1994 EL43-CGPVH 19-02

CYNOS
Japan 01/1991-07/1995 19-02
01/1991-07/1995 EL44-DCPVH 19-02

All these are either 4EFTE or 5EFHE Japanese engines.

The later version part number is used in the 4EFTE only. This doesn't bode well to be honest but maybe someone else would have some firsthand knowledge to offer?
