    i am having a feild day with this block and head its been running as good as gold but i now have a bad ass leak. the first picture was taken before i resealed the rocker, replace the cam seal and sealed the black round cap near the cam cover... with no load on the car it doesent seem to leak...

    sounds spot on... mine goes idle a little on idle then settles around 14.8. wont do any harm at idle aslong as there is no load on the engine

    set the fuel pressure to 3 bar on idle.. for a bar of boost. it will go higher as the boost increases

    if your reading 0.9 of boost at the mani then its not a turbo playing up . i would suggest checking your fueling, are you running around 3 bar on the fuel pressure. and also put your fcd on 12. just to rule it out. then if you have no luck try regapping the plugs to .7-.8, then check you...

    water lines will save the life of the turbo but the main reason they are there is to stop the oil boiling in the turbo cartridge... its for all the people that thrash there car and then turn it off ... like a normal person a wait for a few mins then switch off. just too add i have been running...

    it picks out a set resonant frequency of the cast steel block. when its over a sertian amount of db it retards. i am not worryed about knock. i am sure i have non.. this is only a temp engine any how :) heck it i may get it rollered at a bar of boost just to see how it goes :)

    looks like the same engine i am using... that is from a gi and is the 100 ps modle. does it have the same intake manifold as the ep82 gt turbo?? if it has the same mani as the turbo then it is in fact a 100ps jap 4efe. the lower bhp specs has as diffrent inlet

    4EFE turbo, ignition timing problem

    going from 20d btdc to 10d btdc is retrding the ignition. this will help with pre-detonation not make it worse.... static timing should be 7-10d btdc on a 4efe with a bolt on turbo.

    when the engine was out i re drilled a hole in the rear of the block and tapped the thread. and removed the sensor from my other engine... i say i dont think mine is pinking, you can normally hear it..makes a horrible clicking sound. some ecu's even click inside the car to let you no its detting

    wicked man :) i prefurr higher compression and less boost. spool times are quick and has more power off boost. what is the stock timing for a 100ps 4efe. i am at 10 d btdc now but may retard it to like 7 or so.

    tryed disconecting the stock lambda. i havent been runing mine now for well over a week and my fueling has been fine. mine dips lean a tad at under qtr throttle. but at full throttle it soon goes down to 11.2. afr for the win. pretty sure its just the map on the ecu tbh

    ime not lmao there 4efe pistons hence the 9:6:1 lol just all the other turbo bits lol i am just wondering with that sort of comprssion could i go upto 0.8 bar of boost aslong as the timing and fuel is correct. tbh its been at 0.8 in the cold in 4th and 5th and it went like a stabbed rat.
