i am having a feild day with this block and head its been running as good as gold but i now have a bad ass leak. the first picture was taken before i resealed the rocker, replace the cam seal and sealed the black round cap near the cam cover... with no load on the car it doesent seem to leak...

. at long last i found a steal. 100bhp 4efe 1989 starlet gl for a whopping £130 all running just no tax. plan is to re use my 4efte rods and pistons. can rods be resized.. and am i right in thinking the grind a few thous off the cap to make the big end hole oval shape then re-hone it back...

would this work.... get a cheap 4efe engine and plonk it in the car. along with bolting my turbo and injectors and inletmani on and so on but run very low boost for the time being. then later date install some h beam forged rods and my turbo pistons. would that work then run 1 bar of boost again

ok basical my car spun a rod.. then had a crank grind and the rods honed and a bottom end rebuild. 1000 miles or so with the oil going down to the min then topped back up due to a smokey turbo later, it then starts to knock again. i am not happy with 1 of the rods and the crank still doesent...

Think i am going to change my rod that spun a bearing just to be on the safe side. Hard as nails to find. does any 1 have one for sale ?? thanks ben
