    Continuous idle issues!!!

1 Sometimes adjusting idle at the underneath cable/screw moves the cable stop distance used by the TPS. TPS re calibration can be necessary so is worth checking. 2 Also you mention spirited drive, heat soak to the throttle body temp. sensor can be related to lower revs. Idle is one of...

Megasquirt timing and idle valve setup

As said a hard question because keeping it safe for the individual engine and mods eg Power from manifold and exhaust changes. This web site has a tune with Ep91 stock map but looks like extra fuel from fpr may have power down before 3k for a ct9. The power part of the map might be worth...

    Covid 19

@SKINY a little surprised you are seeing a doctor I just had a phone consult with mine they wont take the risk of spreading contacts.Therapy has gone online rapidly here.My wife is shrink with colleagues in the UK she says you should find some good people to talk with via video. Feeling unsafe...

    Problem with electronics (I think)

Yea Auto. I discovered this when rubber grommet on the brake switch cracked and fell out and I think the switch contact was lost when you do the touch brake start engine routine.

    Problem with electronics (I think)

Very random but I found on a safety switch on Sera break pedal stops engine starting when brake light doesn't work this routes through the hazard lights and bad hazard contacts can break the circuit. I wonder if you have a similar safety feature in the EP91 circuit?

    Gearbox synchros?

Some say the 6 speed are weaker seems quaife have it sorted but for ' delivering a top speed more suited to the needs of competition'. This link explains properly https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-toyota-4a-ge-4e-fe-engine-sequential-gearkit but their QKE12E six-speed sequential gearkit...

    Interesting Blitz auction

Yea man you are spot on 3s-gte 2L is close to what I was thinking but it seems Celica and supra names interchanged a bit for 3s-gte Celica say a 187 kW (251 hp) (Japanese market celica ) racing remap to 333hp looks good. I said 333hp as I have a 2L 188kw Scirocco R , its comfortable tuning...

    Interesting Blitz auction

I'll take a stab at it. PR disk is program disk . 1999 means it runs on win95 or NT4 ,the data map gets loaded onto the chip before it plugs into a blitz ecu. 333R well, r for racing , my guess a Supra upgrade as blitz were racing supras around then. 333hp for version 1? I wonder if the program...

Standard MAP sensor maximum boost and alternatives?

My 2c. Bigger exhaust is needed with larger boost. Ct12 has plenty of air but to access it needs cool temps. The stock map can be fooled to handle more boost and obtain more air (eg my safc2 gave 22psi ) but the ct12 is at 60% efficiency at highest boost so will be running hot without an...

    steering racks

Can be swapped as Quoted from the the AU site Scragley and as Jay mentioned. ' Are the steering racks different in EP82 and EP91?' For 'non power sterring rack into my GT' ' by scragley,Posted 10 June 2008 - 08:23 PM The racks will bolt up just fine. You will need the lower section of the...

    Ecu 89661-10040

This is the older style ecu that with stock boost does both auto and manual. Looking more closely at the box photo I wish I had one of these it says SPEC:W , No: P255AW In other words - Power 255 at the wheels. ( Which on a 4Efte would point towards ct26 airflow manual car with raised rev limit)

    Ecu 89661-10040

Hard to say without knowing what the control box is doing. With no box effecting fuel cut, from memory boost wise you are looking at 4.1v of 5v= 0.82 x 1.2 kgf/cmsqd = 0.984kgf/cmsqd = 13.99psi would say at little less timing than the later manual ecu.

few issues, injectors cutting out in 10 second intervals and EMU signal problem...

A few thoughts. GoldenV mentions issues over 2000rpm usually this can be when boost comes in the open loop fueling commences plus says solved when fueling without emu so stock open loop was ok . But light throttle over 2000 can be closed loop using o2 sensor so maybe the emanage was effecting...

    4efte maximum boost level with a ct9

To answer your question more directly No is the answer as 1.2 is at the compressor not the throttle body. Putting it another way the toyosport site says the ct9 48 compressor allows 2.2 pressure ratio ie 1.2 boost at the compressor. Will be less at the throttle body with say 1psi pressure drop...

    4efte maximum boost level with a ct9

Fueling is your friend but as said so are supporting mods. After fueling and ecu power - Power mods on an auto are larger exhaust and downpipe , manifold or ported manifold, intake air from the front and the best FMIC you can find. Healthy compression will help also where carbon is present...

Not 100% sure but the Sera rear disk Part should match Starlet disks and is listed here https://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1992_TOYOTA_SERA_EXY10-ACPGH_4707.html as 31478C CAP, BLEEDER PLUG(FOR REAR DISC BRAKE) 31478-30010

    Tuning Automatic

The early manual/ auto ecu as had a lower boost cut so it works better with the auto box limits. There are also pin out differences to consider eg pin 15, 10040 ACI later became 10100 boost control. Having said that I used the later manual ecu 89661-10100 ( and el-prototypes variant on the...
