    4E-FTE, AWD Transmission interchanges?

Thanks for the info jay, those are great photos. What is the transmission code in the EP85? Was it used in anything other then Starlet? Based on some of the pictures I saw it looks like the transmission still has a non-lsd differential in the EP85 (brilliant)? I think as long as I could find...

    4E-FTE, AWD Transmission interchanges?

Since, Im in the states Im going to have a hard time finding any EP85 stuff I think. I'll keep my eyes open though. Exhaust isnt a problem. :) We dont need no stinking exhaust. And a smaller lighter plastic fuel cell in the trunk should free up the old metal gas tank space to. Who needs...

    4E-FTE, AWD Transmission interchanges?

I have a '95 Starlet 4E-FTE, with a C52 manual transmission. Anyway I got it installed in a '92 Paseo/Cynos. Unfortunately, I doesnt have a limited slip and now I would like more grip. :) The obvious chose would be to install a LSD, but I was wondering if there were any AWD transmissions...

How can I get at the KOER ECU Codes.

I get a check engine light when Im crusing down the road at 2800 rpm or more. The light happens everytime until I shut the engine off and restart, then the light goes out and stays out until I drive the car at a speed where the rpms are 2800 or more again. The code doesnt seem to be stored...

    A/F sensor playing up

Actually O^2 sensors need to maintain certain temperature to work, espcially if they are not electrically heated. Maybe your sensor is too far away to get hot enough to work, or your 12V wire for your 0^2 heater is broken.

few pics of my car i took at weekend

Sweet ride. Too bad seems like all we can get in the states are SUVs and 20+TON Trucks.:flame:

    Idle up Aircon

On my 4EFTE there are actually two solenoid valves that create "controlled" vacuum leaks through the throttle body. The extra air increases the idle of the engine when the Air Conditioning is turned on, and the throttle is shut. One of the valves (a black one) increases the idle speed...

Best way to tune fuel on a per cylinder basis?

As the topic suggests, for the tuning gurus out there? Whats the best methodology to follow for tuning the air/fuel mixture on a per cylinder basis. I want to add some sensors that would allow me to identify which cylinder/s might be too lean or too rich. So I can then trim or bias individual...

    Broken intake tube

Yup. Looks broken to me too. When my 4E arrived mine was broken in the same place. I looks like a common failure. To fix it I took the valve out, to remove the broken piece. I then cleaned both the pipe and the valve boss very good so no oil was left in the cracks or on the surface, brake...

Urgent help needed with some electric plugs

3rd picture looks like it might be a Dumby Plug for a Tachometer test point? I kinda think it might be the same as "-IG" in the Diagnostic Plug as well. I could be way off base on the function of that plug though. Or it might be something to test the ignition with a specialty Toyota tool.

Urgent help needed with some electric plugs

Second picture looks like the A/C high pressure switch or the A/C Auxiliary Fan connector.

Urgent help needed with some electric plugs

Your first picture looks like the coolant sensor that has something todo with the A/C is disconnected. Maybe Im misinunderstanding what your asking, but doesnt the wire right next to it plug into that sensor? Your other coolant sensors seem to be connected already.

    ecu warning light

Which warning light are your refering to? EGT? or Check Engine Light? If your talking about the Check Engine Light, this light is connected to the W pin in the Engine Diagnostic Connector. I believe if you short this wire to the engine ground the light will come on. I've never...

best 'toyota ct' turbo for 4efte....?

So you want to make cheap power on demand? I got one word for you. "Nitrous!", a blower in a bottle. If I were you I'd leave my turbo alone. Thats my 2 cents. :cops:

What do these two Solenoid valves do? 4EFTE Swap

I'll just make up a few spare wire runs before looming everything back up. I want to get it back on the road soon, and well I'm getting antsy, it sounds like its going to be fun to drive.

All part of the "fun" I guess.

What do these two Solenoid valves do? 4EFTE Swap

I think I should post a new thread for my Cold Start issue, since it isnt related to these two valves. With that said, Does anyone have any A/C wiring diagrams for an EP82? Or might be willing to give me the low down on the logic for when each of these two A/C solenoids kicks in. I'd be...

    Lambda sensor

Its the sensor in the Turbo that also in close proximity to the Clutch Slave Cylinder on the Transmission. The sensor on the bottom of the CAT is the EGT.

What do these two Solenoid valves do? 4EFTE Swap

Starts Hard Ah, that actually makes sense then. I'll start combing through the A/C wiring diagrams then. I have A/C so do these get connected to the AC1 (black solenoid) and AC2 (Green solenoid) terminals of the ECU then? It cant be that simple can it? Also after doing a little more...
