200bhp possible on dinky ct9??

Im making around 190BHP @ 1bar on Stock CT9A, going to be remapping the emanage and should hit the 200barrier before i switch turbo, very possible but the thing is try and keep torque with power, i am, running about 185 IB FT torque to go with it :)

power isnt everything on the 1/4mile, especially if its in a fwd car. you need alot of skill and technique

i would like about 190 on my ct9. need to fit my jam mani, ported rebuilt turbo, fmic and then get it mapped on my power fc and ill be ready to rumble i hope!

my torque figure was 170lb/ft with stock mani and cat, running 1 bar boost and an rx7 tmic.

when my car got rr'd the guy didnt have a tmic fan, and the intercoller heated up like a mofo.

so i reckon with an fmic mani and decat and maybe a better ecu then i should acheive about 190bhp@the fly, i'm more interested in the torque figure though, as torque gives such an excellent punch.

problems is i need another £1500 to do this, and it bloddy hasrd to get that amount of dosh.

and i'm planning on keeping the aircon, as i love it even thjough it does drown the power and fuel

dump the aircon. i resisted for years but then gave in and willl never miss it.

ive spend about £1500 on my car this month and still dont have a fmic. thats the next thing on the list as well as a lower arm bar anda few other bits and bobs

i bought some handling goodie instead.

i calculated that if i bought:

trd engine mounts
autobahn fmic
ferodo brakes
mintex black discs
toby mild steel mani
dave b decat
ZEP 2 core rad

dont know mine isn't anywhere near 190hp, so i cant say.


didnt scottish_cruiser have the most hp out of a ct9 or summin, i beleive he got summin like 189.9 not entirely sure i just remember he got the most out of a ct9 ever.

smore got 190 on the stock ct9 then he got 205 or something with the g-spec mapped to 95 ron fuel.

obviously a fly figure and not the wheels,a ct9 would never be able to produce anywhere near 190WHP...have you see the wee size of it?!

ok all good then.

yeah i seen the size of the ct9, unfortunately i was kinda dissapointed pointed when i took it off my car lol.

thats still a very impressive figure imo, especially out of a ct9, as i always assumed 180@the fly. was the limit.

so was yours about 160-170@ the wheels?
