took my car to AVA thismorning to have my FPR and FCD fitted and set up to a bar. so initially he quoted for 2 hours labour to do the job at 40 quid an hour so i thought fiar enough and handed him the keys. he called back a few hours later when i was at work and says he was having problems with my i?c pipe poping off so he couldnt set the fueling properly. i went down and even though he couldnt set it up he still wanted to chanrge me 3 hours labour? and 60 quid for an hour on the rollers? so 180 basically to fit a fpr and fcd without setting it properly! somthing i could have done myself!

so my cars boosting to .9 bar now and fuck knows whats going on with the fueling!

i didnt pay him all the money obviously but surley im in the right here?

You were in the right, if your I/C pipes were popping off, was he trying to Rolling Road if for 1hour knowing they were popping off?

Ive used AVA for over 4 years and never had an issue like this with them. Either tighten up of clips and make sure they aint popping off or get better ones so it can be RR'd.

have you got a beaded seat around the edges of your pipes?
Also, swapping up to mikalor equal tension clamps can further reduce the risk - equally a good pipe jointing compound like Caterpillars own brand pipe jointing paste as available from mcNaughton generators helps you seat the pipes easily, then provides a good bond between your silicone hose and metal pipework.

I use it on all my builds and have gave Jay a tube or two to use - great stuff!
