surely insurance companies wouldn't touch you after a ban with a 400bhp+ starlet???

my mate go a ban and he was driving a 1.1 pug for a couple of years until he could get insured on a civic type r

Thats what i was thinking. Unless different bans are easier on the insurance front?

as long as it beats that fuds car on ukso ..:)..be mental laggy though ye mad hoor:)

Oooh controversial:haha:

Are you upping the rev limit to give yourself a broader power band? The way that is itl be nothing them boom for the last 1k revs.

nice setup:)
Does that 18g have the td05 exhuast housing or td06? ive gone from a 16g to a 20g but havn't driven it yet but ive changed loads also (comp ration, intercooler, exhuast ecu, lol)
when you say its laggy how much different than the 16g is it i was hoping that the exhuast housing would keep spool the same?

It the same housing i thought with it having a billet wheel it would not be so bad lol
starts boosting 5.5k... but its on 6 month old fuel!

starting at 5.5?? something wrong and not the turbo! fuel could be a thing... had some old fuel in my old mini it couldn't keep 4th gear!!

starts to boost at 5.5? jeez thats pretty bad. my 5e would see 1.8bar by 4800 on the 16g with 7.5.1 CR, im hoping to replicate that on the 20g with my new higher CR of 7.9 and stand.alone ecu.

what are you reving too? are you just after a crazy bhp figuer or do you want a wide power band? 400bhp really is alot from a 4E as a daily use if you want a large power band.

fair play for doing it though!

With a rev limit around 8500 that would be good IMO, or even drag racing, have you remapped to this turbo? You may gain a few hundred rpm in spool with some fueling and ignition timming changes.

Unfortunately you may find lesser power cars are faster , i remember whenninfirst went td04 on my original 4e and only ran 12psi and my mates tuned ct9 glanza was faster on country roads because it had such a bigger power band.but then i ran 1.5bar and the game changed lol.

I would get a the remap sorted... Did you change inlet manifold for this new turbo aswell? Maybe thats had an impact on lag

It not been mapped yet, Yes the inlet was changed over aswell! its not too bad!

I still have stock valve springs tho :S

Having swapped the inlet and turbo, i wouldnt have given it boost until it was mapped. It will no doubt be running lean. Bugger waiting 6 months and have it blow on you within a week.
