all or nothing final rolling road before rebuild

took the starlet for a final power run before the tired engine is pulled out and a nice fresh forgy one is slotted in it's place.

it didn't do too badly, rather smokey and the clutch only lasted one run too :homer: but it made it back home under it's own steam and is getting retired for the winter :)

better scan of the printout, top is flywheel, middle is wheelpower, bottom is torque, ignore that figure though, think the slippy clutch caused misread :homer: and a 2nd run wasn't gonna happen

I was looking for around 250hp @ 1.4 bar on a stock engine, that really is a good result! and only lost 20hp through the drivetrain!

So that is stock head and compression ratio too??

head has had port matching and a very mild port on the intakes and exhaust, not much metal taken out, more shaping and smoothing. doesn't so much help the power, but gives the car that nice vertical torque curve ;)

everything else including the CR is standard. wish when i fitted it we put new rings in it, these ones are 100k old and i'm certain that's all that it needs as it' so quiet still, no scary knocks or owt :)

1.2 bar should be quiet safe if setup right, and should give you the right side of 230bhp :)

nice dude tho dyno jet dynos read high still nice

quite possibly but the other cars on the day were getting 'as expected' figures (ie they'd had the cars rolling roaded elsewhere and the figure was similar)

it made 228 @ 1.1 bar so 268 @ 1.4 isn't too ambitious, no?

seems about right to me mate :) alot of td04 setups boosting 1.4 bar make around the 270 mark i think
