SupraPod vs The Best Of The Rest - 7th July 2012 Co-hosted by Sky Insurance



For a number of years the Mkiv Toyota Supra Club have held a private event called ‘SupraPod’ at the famous Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire. For 2012 co-hosts Sky Insurance aim to bring you some of the best drag racing and drift car action in the UK in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. This is a limited and invitation only event for those who wish to run the quarter mile strip or take on the challenging drift what you brung arena.

There will be no big crowds or queues to get in, there will be plenty of room to come along and display your car and watch some of the best drag and drift cars from the UK’s car club scene!

Everyone is welcome but the Drag racing and Drifting is by application only – see the link below.

If any car clubs wish to come along, there is more than enough room but please do get in contact with us to discuss.

I'd be happy to come along and see what my car can do on the drag race. But mine is far from the fastest though I hope to get low 15s -)

You might be a bit swamped on the day by the big boys but by all means submit your application.

Surely there must be some good powered cars on here?

Hi,

you are all very welcome to come along to SupraPod as spectators, there will be no 'stand' as such but there will be plenty of parking around the strip, you can all park up together.

All you need to do is arrive at the event between 9am - 10.30am. The price to get in is £10 per person.

In summary, this is an event where anyone can come along and spectate, there will be a whole host of high powered cars running up the drag strip and there will be some drifting pros showing you how it is done, including our very own Phil Morrison from Driftworks. There is one Glanza running on the strip if you'd like to come and support!

Feel free to come along on Saturday if you are free..

I'll post up some pictures/video of the event when it's done, fingers crossed for good weather!
