((AUSTRALIA)) Speeding fine..

Hello People,

I am over in Australia and had the weekend of so i said i would rent out a car and go on a road trip with the girlfriend all was fine till this moring when i was going in to Perth and i got done for doing 82kms in a 60kms zone.I realy didnt no i was doing that speed and the cop jumped out of no where and pulled me in.The fine is $300 and 3 demerit pints as i have a Ozy drivers licence.

What would you people do pay the fine, Are don`t bother as i am only on a working holiday visa and i ant staying here, will be going home again at the end of the year.

I no i was in the wrong but I am thinking why should i pay it (( $300 )) and i dont even drive, I just rented out the car because it was the girlfriends birthday.

What ever you think people would love to no what you would do.

Pay it. Oz is a member of the Commonwealth... Do you think they won't bother just because you're a few miles away? Not as if we don't speak the same language is it? Do the crime, pay the fine...

You'd prob struggle to get another working visa in the future if they have problems with you in the past surely?

Id pay it, as said above, u done it, deal with it!

if you were there for another week then id leave it, but your there till the end of the year, if you get caught up again you could have an even bigger fine on your hands, id pay the fine and move on mate

I think i will be better of paying up to stay on the good side of the law because i dont no whats around the corner.Thanks

if you dont pay it then it will only come round to bite you in the ass.

do the crime, do the time as they say.

australia may be a member of the commonwealth, but ireland isn't. so they couldn't chase it up if he came home.

but, you rented a car and were driving it at the time, which makes brings you under the same rules as everyone else. you were speeding, so you deal with the consequences
