Battlefield 3 MP Demo

Hi lads,

Anyone downloaded and tried this yet? I was on it last night on the xbox, and to be honest I am fairly disappointed. It looks not bad, some nice effects, but its nowhere near COD graphic standard, and tightness of gameplay.

Some nice graphic touches, but the feel of the weapons and sound are poor.

It lacks something, there's no kick or bite to it.

Looks like I'll be sticking with MW3

What do youse think?

Yep, i'm the same, always tried the previous ones but it never had an impact on me, the gameplay and team work on COD is far superior.

downloaded it too, wasn't too impressed but like all battlefield games takes a bit to get use to but won't compare to mw3

No way. Bf is far superior. This is just a beta remember, nothing like as good as the final game will be.

superior in the fact it takes 5 bullets too the head with a sniper form 3 metres away too kill some one on hardcore lol. where as with cod people actually die from one bullet

I have it on PC (pre ordered aswell) and played it on PS3.
It doesn't look great on PS3 and they're are alot of bugs but they said this will change with the final game.

PC version has some bugs aswell but same as above,won't be in retail game,hence BETA label.
The graphics on PC are amazing though,and I played Caspian Border (jets etc) for the few days the servers were open and its fooking massive,something like 2km x2km square,and its not the biggest map lol.

I had a look at the MW3 videos and gameplay,meh,looks like MW2.5. I know that comes across as harsh to MW fans but I still play MW2 aswell and I was dissapointed when the "WorldWide Multiplayer Trailer" was released showing him shooting glass?

I'll play it in my brothers,wont be buying it.

I had the ps3 beta and loved it, but you cannot compare BF3 to CoD as there two different games. I love both and have both on pre-order.

I like both series of games but I am always more into battlefield.

Cod is basically a watered down unreal tournament style of gameplay (dont complain cos you know thats what it is)

Where as the battlefields I get way more involved and drawn intp the game especially in a team battles are a bit more drawn out and you have time to think plus lets be honest here. If you have a decent sound system or headphones then the battlefields have waaaayyyy more imersiv sound. I do play cod quite alot as I like a bit of a frag fest and it makes a nioce change to halo


EDIT: I think I should probably mention that I havent actually played the beta I wanted to but I have always been dissapointed with beta's in the past, so now I just leave them alone
