hi all

recently put in a greddy profec b2 in my car....all fine...apart from when i floor it.It will go up to 0.9 and go back to 0.5 suddenly. If the revs are high and say i drop a gear...then it is fine..

it isnt the warning thing on it either as this is disabled....any advice??

Have you read the manual? It took me 2 hours on a long strip of road to get my spool start up & boost levels just the way I wanted it. You have to set the warning levels yourself as well too. Have you read the manual?

i thought 0.8bar was just under fuel cut? im sure you'll be hitting at 0.9bar... that about 13PSI....

try gain at 25%, set gain at 0.60bar and then adjust your set to around 30ish and work from there. adjust the set until you reach the desired boost level. see what happens mate

cheers mate ill give that a go!!

and what about warning level?.....

i dont seem to be hitting fuel cut at 0.9.....only when it goes a tad over a bar is when it hits for me

set is a scale 0-100. set gain will be an actual figure in whatever you set it too, bar psi etc. gain is a percentage. from 5% (i think) to 35%

set is the one when you turn the knob from the normal boost readout display. gain is what you get when you press the bottom button once and then you press again and get setgain. after that its warning limit and then limiter reduction (how much it cuts the boost back when you hit the limit) then peak recorded boost and the the option to select peak hold on or off.

haha...

true.

thanks for all your help mate.I am still having one problem though. And that is that when you say to set the set gain to 0.60 bar. It is displayed as a scale from 0-100??

Gain is set at percentage.

Here's how I set up. Put all the other settings to 0. Set the limiter to the peak boost you want, in this case .85bar so your car doesn't blow up from hitting the fuel cut. Set the fall back to about .2bar, so when it hits the warning limiter it will cut the boost down to a safe level.

THEN YOU START TO PLAY WITH THE BOOST.

SET BOOST as close to the boost level you want. This means driving up and down the road FULL THROTTLE, or driving up a hill under full load. Steepest hill you can if possible. You may never get the exact boost level you want using the SET BOOST. Try and shoot for a level just under what you want.

Once you get that stable then you start adjusting the GAIN. Keep turning up the GAIN until you fine tune the boost level you want.

After that, you can play around with the START BOOST to get better response if so needed.
