Does the gauge work properly when the engine is running or have you not got that far yet?

When the engine is running it is like 1900rpm so that is about 1000 to much(on the cluster). Used a 4efte engine loom and a 2ee dashboard loom. On the old cluster the rpm is displayed normal.
    What's going wrong

I would use the fte dash loom aswell see if that cures it

Don't have that one unfortunaly. The strange thing is that the rpm gauge works normally with the normal cluster. Used the same wire/signal for the IG- connection on the cluster. I had to make some changes in the pin out of the 3 connectors on the backside of the cluster. I already made a double check on that. I think it must be good. Every support is welcome !
