i did an ecu reset the other day and my revs were going up and down, eventually stalling. after half an our it was right again? could it be the idle control valve.

the ecu plays around with idle as its setting up. its normal

had the same prob when i took out the ecu plugs to install my HKS SLD yesterday but as said above it sorted itself out so i guess normal

how do you reset the ecu and wat exactly does this do.

disconnect the battery or efi fuse for a min or two. it will then be reset and will take a couple of days to relearn your settings (including proper idle speed) before settling down. there are no performance advantages as far as i know in doing this on a standard ecu.

it does overfuel and overboost for the first 10mins or so,which leads to you being thrown back into your seat..
