East Coast Customs announced as official PPG Dealers

We are very proud to announce that we have been made an official PPG dealer.

PPG need no introduction to the gearbox world as they are well known to supply excellent gear set's, I personally have ran one set in my EVO for 2 years with no breakages @ 1000BHP +.

There latest delvelopment in the Jap scene has been the R35 gear set which AMS have tested with 1200WHP.

If you need to know anything about their products drop me a PM.

Regards
John

God if they have done one of these boxes for the ep it might tempt me away from an evo because of insurance prices!

I want one now lol :)

If we can get 5 or more orders I think PPG might be willing to make a box specifically for the EP's, they will be made to the same quality as any gearbox they produce so they will be some piece of kit. In my own car i was able to take 0.8seconds of my 1/4mile time with only changing the box.

I would love to build a forged 4E/5E with a CT9 hybrid or similar, NOS and a dog box. Loads of response and super fast.

it's getting the number's, ya think alot of people dont wanna spend as much on a gearbox than it did to buy the car in first place,
dog box with flat shift will be the job tho!!!!

whats a ROUGH sorta price for a gear set?

see the starlet owner's are normally young dude's with not too much money, unlike your skyline, evo driver who can spend 20-30k no bother on a build!!!

be good to see a few go for it tho, that price free fitting at your place too yeah? lol

LOL the gearbox will need removed, rebuilt and refitted. You would be better spending the money on the transmission than BHP as you will most likely go faster and be more reliable.

yeh you could buy alot of power with 5k for a starlet.

I personally couldn't afford it looks an awesome piece of kit tho.

The theory will be tested soon enough, though I'd expect quite large gains up the strip in my car due to its reluctance to change gears on the syncro box due to a few parts being in multiple pieces instead of 1 whole piece.

5k more into my engine or chassis won't give me anywhere near 1 second up the strip, 50ms gearchanges sound very very nice to me!

This with a dog box would be nice. Standard CT9 with NOS on a forged bottom end.
