EMU: injector duty cycle

ok, we have a question concerning datalogging

what's the difference between i/j input duty cycle and i/j output duty cycle on the emu

which of the two tells the real story of how much you are pushing your injectors, as the rule of thumb is keep injectors below 80%/85% duty cycle

comments appreciated---hybrid, chris, nick, etc

i would imagine that the higher of the 2 is the true duty cycle. most likely the output.

this is assuming input is from the ecu, then the emanage alters the signal according to the map and then outputs the new duty cycle.

someone more knowledgeable about emanage should be able to confirm my suspicions.

thanks dac69er for your opinion..its welcomed

we suspect the i/j input duty cycle is from the ecu to the emu
while the i/j output duty cycle is from the emu to the injectors

we just want to know which one is really the one to monitor as the tuners on here would probably have this experience and can best advise

thanks chris. we will take a look at that

something we observed was that the i/j input duty cycle seems to go to 100% at anything over 15/16psi----does the stock ecu just drive the injectors at full duty cycle beyond the stock boost limit or the stocl map sensor limit?.....maybe as a safety function??
