what? bracing the whole movement of the engine on the inlet manifold?

i wouldnt say its good at all.

i see what you mean, for racing purposes, but its still super rough!

its in keeping with your car riko lol:p

Why do you think I've done it already - and do you seriously think my Coilovers came seized??? :p

Dunc, welding it closed in place is certainly bad...worse than solid mounts as in that scenario the mounts are taking the brunt of the force...and I don't think an intake manifold was designed to restrict the motion of an engine in Extreme Loading situations...manifold must be made of Pig Iron :p

the stock inlet mani is alrwady braced to the engine so shouldnt crack the mani.

i dont think its a terrible idea, yes it puts extra stress on the struts but your engine mounts shouldnt be that worn, for the engine to jump excessively.

i know its braced, but its only braced to hold the weight of the mani, not the movement of the whole engine.

if it were to have a jam mani would it be stamped??

no thats the annoying thing with the jams, u wont know till it comes off which is a pain in the bum.

and it means u either take the chance that it has got one or u change it for peice of mind.

i would imagine it would have a jam mani though seeing as it was an ex track car and its got a farina racers ecu
