I’m very reluctantly selling my car to get a deposit for a house. I’ve owned it for 4 years and have spent far too much money on it (over £10,000). I’ve always bought the absolute best parts for it and made sure they’re all set up properly, which has made sure the car has always ran like a dream. I service the car myself and have fitted almost every part as I haven’t found a mechanic with as much attention to detail as me. The car is washed, polished and waxed every 2 weeks and is kept in a garage every night without fail.

The car has never let me down, always started first time and never over heated or run low on oil. I always use Millers fully synthetic oil and Toyota for life red coolant. The forged engine was installed in March this year and was run in on Millers running in oil (changed after 10 miles, 300 miles and 600 miles and then to fully synth at 1000 miles). I have been to the Nurburgring twice since I’ve had the car and done 7 laps in total (4 on the standard engine and 3 on the forged engine) it’s been perfect every time and I’ve never had any scary moments with it.

When I got the car it had the full genuine TOM’S kit, JAM ECU, Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust, HKS SSQV and Blitz Carbon boost gauge installed. Since then I have bought and added all the parts above, almost all of which have been brand new. The first round of tuning I did was to install the HKS actuator and get rid of the EFI pipe by making up a front mount intake with a HKS mushroom filter. This caused the turbo to run just over 1 bar due to the minuscule internal wastegate on the ct9. So the next day I removed the turbo and manifold and ported the wastegate and 3rd manifold runner which cured the problem. The next round of tuning was a WEPR FMIC, hard pipe kit and Blitz Dual SBCR boost controller. After setting up the boost controller the clutch started to slip so I bought the ORC 309 clutch and flywheel kit and had this fitted with a set of lightweight under drive pulleys, TRD engine mounts and a cruise 2mm head gasket. I ran this for about a year until I put the TD04 kit on and the AEM wideband gauge. I then ran the TD04 setup for about a year until the car started to puff a bit of smoke which turned out to be down to the valve stem seals. I had the feeling the block could do with a rebore and hone so I decided to go all out and research all the parts needed to build the best 4EFTE. I chose the Ross pistons as they have the lowest silicon content of all the pistons I could find available for the 4EFTE and therefore should be the strongest and I chose the Pauter rods as they have the highest pressure and rpm rating of all the rods I could find for the 4EFTE. ACL bearings and ARP bolts have a fantastic reputation in motorsport and the only realistic option for cams and springs were speed vision items. I gave all of these parts to KAD and they carried out the build for me, blueprinting the block, porting and polishing the head, rebore/honing/facing the block, working out perfect clearances for the valve train, measuring and adjusting the compression ratio etc etc. I’ve had the car back up and running for 9 months now as my daily driver and it hasn’t missed a beat, it’s a very strong engine and I built it with the intention of running 350+bhp however my priorities have changed and I’m now looking to buy a house and will be needing the money from this sale to help fund that. I’m in no rush to sell and will be putting some detailed pictures and hopefully a power graph up in the next few weeks.
