Garage Work Example prices

Hi Tom - would have thought you would be looking at £200 plus VAT for the clutch labour. Brake lines - can be 1-2 hours labour depending on how much resistance they give us but roughly £45 - £90 plus vat for labour.

yes that is the going rate Ben surprisingly enough.i was charged 300euros for taking out and putting in a turbo into my 200sx here in ireland.i had every bolt removed except for 2 so i had to give it to the professional as i didnt have a lift to get to one of them.labour is expensive

As mentioned above and am sure would be echoed by the likes of Toby and Dave having a fully equipped workshop plus qualified/trained/experienced technicians is not a cheap undertaking Im afraid. Nevertheless I have reduced the price for you guys!

This is absolutely spot on. No more to be said really. These parts all add up and even though they are not expensive or complex parts they still take time to do properly.

Ben - I take your point, I certainly wouldnt take mine to a dealer and pay their prices as stamps and service history books are less important with these cars, Most owners on here are much more knowledgable than the average fiesta owner but some people do not have the space, skill, facilities or confidence to carry out these important maintenance tasks. We can do this to a very high standard with the utmost care for a good price.

I totaly agree with you Mike, at the end of the day is your buisness, your service, and your prices. All you can realy go by is the going rate of other companies and garages to make it a competetive price/service which is what your trying to achieve.

Its just been that long since iv put any of my cars into a garage to know the going rate..... used to just supplying the parts now and getting on with it! lol.

Anyway, good luck with the whole venture into the Starlet scene and i hope you all the best in making it a better community for urself and everyone else. No doubt il be in touch in the future when the bank balance goes back up abit! lol.

Ben :)

Really well priced Mike.

Easy for customers to say the price is too high, but there far from it. Bearing in mind you cannot buy 18 years experience. Try doing most of those jobs outside the house or in your own compound and you may realise you wont have the correct tools/equipment to do the job.
