Just wanted to say thanks to Sky for my renewal. Managed to go £160 lower than Adrian Flux, and only took ten minutes on the phone. Top service! They even called me back at 5:50 when the lines were due to close at 6pm. Not received the paperwork yet but hopefully everything will be in order when it turns up!

i was gutted when i rang sky coz they dont insure manchester postcode anymore but the chap on phone was really helpful put me onto brentacre who are goin to insure my car i can put any mods on the car i want for no extra charge jus hav to let them know what they are incase anything happens so i get money back for them and i just hav to make sure the car stays below an agreed bhp or i hav to inform them and the price goes up abit

Do you mind asking what was the premium? Your age/NCB and what kind of mods have you got? Is it a Starlet or a Glanza?

Glanza. I'm 29, 8 years NCD with 1 claim and 4 modifications declared. Car has a cat 1 alarm / immobiliser.
Before my claim, in 2009 I had a Glanza insured with sky with mods listed for £600, so can't wait for this claim to be removed next year!

£600 sounds pretty cool. I believe now it's about double the price? Mine is £950 incl everything and NCB protection. 5 years no claims, your age, loads of mods. I think it's pretty expensive for a 1.3L car...

Location might make a difference, it's pretty good round here, and as it's my weekend toy it will probably only cover 3000 miles a year or less, which i'm sure will also help with the premium.
