Hey guys,
Was in the process of changing my engine mounts this weekend, so thought I'd take a few pictures and do a small write up so people can use it as a reference when changing theres, as I had a few Q's I thought it would be good.
So tools needed
and the mount to be cut out - mine was the front gearbox mount. Principal is the same with all three mounts
So firstly cut out the rubber insert and tube
I took the hacksaw apart and fixed it back together inside the mount so I could still use the handle
I cut a small V in the rubber so that when cutting out the mount shell the rubber doesnt grip the blade
When cutting through the shell be careful not to go too deep into the out mount.
Once through the shell its time to use the chisel or screw driver to pry away the old shell from the mount
could be a bit rusty but keep going
Once its out you have an empty mount ready for the new poly bush
Next is to put the 2 halves of the poly bush together, then insert the tube supplied in the kit. not forgetting to use the grease like I did LOL
in the mount
Then all you need to do is put it back on the gear box or where ever its from and enjoy the benefits
Cheers
