when they read the information on the site and acquire knowledge after a time they will pay atleast 1 euro to join and post and after they are comfortable they will go on......it will take a while but for new members at 1 euro thats notin man.....

sam

i know that, you know that and everyone else on hear knows that, but some one who signes up to ask a quick question isnt going to pay anything and will move on to the next free forum they find! imo!

It will make new members look around the forum for a bit first, since they won't be able to post straight away they will gain some knowledge from reading up before just posting the same newbie questions we usually get.

The phrase " use the search button FFS!" should become less common at least.;)

or it could work in the opposite way, they could just look around, find out what they want the f*ck off.

I don't mind paying 10 EUR to post really. Worked out about £6 or so for a years worth of posting privelages, so it's not too bad.

I'm loving your sig though Sam, "My dancing Hitler won't dance!" :D

I dont mind the fee.
It's not the first forum/club i've come across that charges for posting. It does force you to read more instead of just signing up and spamming away with n00b questions.
One club (a peugeot one) allowed you to post in certain sections but not the technical ones (unless you paid)

yeah its nothin really
well worth the money
would be a shame if alot of members dont come bak

think a solution for alot of the spaming would be to take away ppls posting counters, think certain members jus post rubish so that their counter is bigger than others
what do u guys think?

Hardly man.. its costing him a wee fortune to run the site every month..

Hosting is very expensive when u have a dedicated server.. I wouldnt b too surprised if Macker ends up with a minus figure every few months due to the site's running costs...
