Low idle

My idle keeps dropping to around 500 rpm n just sitting happily, i have tried adjusting the idle up with the screw under the rubber gromit and no joy she still sits at 500, i would appreciate any help to get it back to normal

has your throttle stop been adjusted at all? also what happens to the idle when you use electric windows or turn the fan on suddenly?

whats the idle like when it starts from cold?

The idle drops when the windows are used and its high when the engine is cold but soon drops to its 500 or 600

sometimes i used to have this problem as well, adjusting the screw in mine sorted that. But as you have said you have tried that already so mustn't be that. What all is done to your car, and how many miles are on it?

when i start mine its 1250 ish rpm.....then when its at temp its around 600-800mark what is usual yes?and when say aircon is on it bouces up to 1500rpm lol.....and the steering sucks 50-100rpm away.....as do the windows sometimes hehe

clean ou the idle control valve might be gunked up form varnish inside the throttle body, failing that probably needs repalacing
