For sale: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III - £3400 ono

Item Condition: Used

Price and price conditions: £3400 ono

Extra Info:

My other half has taken this evo III as a part ex for his ae86, now its for sale.. it's near enough standard with the only modifications being:

* HKS mushroom air filter
* Cusco strut brace

comes with TAX until Nov 08 and MOT till August 2009, so it's ready to drive away.

Mechanically it seems to be in great shape too - the car pulls well with no hesitation or missfires, the gearbox is tight with no crunches and the clutch doesn't slip at all.

He is looking for a relatively quick sale - hence the price - he is open to offers close to the asking price.

I'll let the pictures show how clean this car is - if you have any questions then give Matt a call on 07971 524 844! Car is in Cranleigh, Surrey - GU6.

is this the same evo that's advertised on the evo321 forums ?

if not maybe stick it up on there as there is a lassie on there desperate for another nice E3 if she hasn't already found 1 that is

anyway lovely looking motor and best of luck with the sale

interest swap with a golf gti or glanza?
thx

m8 i would have a look @ the insurance b4 u go swapping cars TBH not to put u off as its a cracking motor

put it this way not 1 main insurance company will insure u i say this through experience and i have seen so many early Evos coming back up for sale as the insurance is a killer

im 26 and i drive a Evo3 with 2 years NC no points no convictions and the car is garaged with a Cat 1 alarm/imob and i pay £1200 fully comp and ill tell u that was a struggle to get it that low

i have heard that a few 21yo are getting quotes of 2.5k upwords and thats only if they fit a tracker

if u are realy interested then try "Keith Michaels" as there the only 1s that could get me that cheep a quote for my Evo.

still best of luck with the sale m8

confused .com are u sure ?

1 they dont list a lancer Evo 3 only a lancer import ( MY BAD THEY HAVE CHANGED THERE MAIN PART TO NOW INCLUDE A E3) but still couldnt get nowhere near the 1200 that i was quoted from Keith M £1900 was the cheapest for an E3

I have just done a quote for a V RS with all mods declared including a 2.3 stroker kit and its coming back @ £1400 so from a E3 @ 1900 and a newer more expensive V RS im getting £1400 strange but true

2 a newer Evo is easier to insure example bell who im with on the starbo would insure me on a V with mods declared for £700 but wouldn't touch the E3 as it wasn't listed as an insurable car to them.

3 if ur getting quotes of 1200 when ur 23 then i would like to see who is insuring as i have tried every insurance company u can think of and i know a few others who have done the same. and couldn't get insured by most company's

remember its not what the car is worth to u its what the car will cost to repair if the worst happens and that's y the early evos are so dear to insure as u try get parts for them fairly easy.

I don't think insurance would be a problem for Chowhim as he has explained to me before..

As for early Evos and insurance, they just tend to write them off if its anything more than abit of panel beating to buff the damage out..
