No offence, but AVG is brutal, one of the worst rated ones you can get.
Kaspersky is the best ive used though, that gets 10/10

Ah you can reset it to last week or something closer, only your programs etc get lost, your documents stay.

So do it this way
Start Button>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

Then just restore it to a point before you had the problem.

Simples

not letting me into system restore, when i click on system restore, windows needs my permission to continue, i click continue and then the 'Security Tool' Virus pops up and then does nothing

should i run both anti virus links u gave me first and then try reboot the system or??

It might ,but if you cant open MSN teamviewer might be a problem too,
Try these few things.
Reboot in safe mode and see if it lets you use system restore (use the admin account remember)

Or try
Windows Key+R>Type MSCONFIG>Hit Enter
Go to services>Tick the "Hide All MicroSoft Services" box>Then Click Disable all>Ok>Reboot and try again.

Dan, Cheers for that ok!

I just ran safe mode and then restored the system to last week and it done the job perfectly!

Im gonna run both the links you gave me now and hopefully that'll do the job

Thanks
John
