I use frostwire too, pretty certain i mentioned it to ep82. its basically limewire pro. never had a virus from it either, good for single song downloads, nice and fast. use torrents for albums/films.

plus the interface is complicated to some compared to limerwire

rapidshare is very good although they've had to remove loads of content recently.

newzbin and other newshosting sites are another excellent way of getting virus free stuff. i don't download much anymore apart from tv shows like top gear, qi etc amd a 700mb file will come down on my connection in around 10 mins

Rapidshare is where its at, OK so you have to pay a tiny bit but you can downloaded unlimited albums/DVD rips. Get FlashGet too to manage the download links and your sorted!

If your just after listening to music on your PC, then give Spotify a try!

Its basically like a free version of Itunes. Only downside is having to have an advert play between ever 7-8 songs. But other than that its very good. And also legal.

However for torrents, I use Bitcomet. Been getting D/L rates of 2200kb/s!

If you are after whole albums then its gotta be Vuze coupled with mininova.org for me.

For individual tunes, I'd go to:

http://www.seeqpod.com/mobile/iphone.php#_home

find the tune you want, and go to File-> Save Page As...

It'll save the .mp3 file if you're using a decent browsed (Firefox )
