I have rung up the police and asked for "pc newman" hes not working atm hes got his 4 days off or something?, "pc newman" said he will be round wednesday when he knocked on the door saturday night!!?
But the lady in the office said "pc newman will be back on duty thursday at 8am" soo why would he be coming around wednesday? :freddy:

i would be careful mate cause same thing happened to me and they can do you for careless driving i had a lawyer and i lost my license, im not trying to scare you, just be aware they are c*nts and if they want to fck u over they will. harry

too many people dont know enough, and give shit advice.
i have been through the courts, and got banned for careless driving, for overtaking on A class road, at 60mph, a car doing 40, but cus i dropped it, and got by as fast as possible, it seemed bad to they. two civilian statements, and i got banned.
so no evidence?? some1 seen it, thats evidence.

On what grounds could they call that careless? was there a bend or another car coming up?
I know of a fella who got reported by one of his neighbours for mounting the curb round the corner from his house and he lost the license.
What did their statement say?

So your saying the police didnt pull you over or see you when you did it(no police involved at all) BUT 2 other people saw you do this manoeuvre, complained to the police and you got sent a summons through the post??
If thats the case i cannot understand that at all. Where is the proof who the driver was? In that case you could complain about anyone doing anything and get someone sent down?

I pleaded not guilty and spoke a very good statement but the bastards still decided to do me. And i believe i didnt do wrong but oh well.
But to get done on the word by 2 randomers???

i overtook the car on the way out to a little village just outside where i live, i overtook the car on a str8, with my gf in the car with me. the car was stripped, and i'd already been given a section 59 for the noise of my exhaust.
anyways, these two people took my registration, phoned the cops, and said i overtook them, cut them up, and caused them to swerve and mount the verge. the also said there was an oncoming car, which had to also mount the verge, altho this "other" vehicle, which was around 500 yards away once i was back on my side of the road was never found, and no statement from them, the only statements against me wer the couple in there bmw. there statements were well written, the wifey said " i feared for the life of my unborn child" and the husbands was just as bad.
anyways, when my car was reported, that was enough for them to uplift my car under section 59. they turned up at my house, got my neighbour to go to my mates recovery service, and pick my car up. before this happened, i was asked if i was driving my car at a certain time on a certain road, blah blah blah, me having done nothing wrong in my mind said yes, asked if i overtook a car, said yup, and told the copper the car i overtook. they then charged me with dangerous driving.
i got a summons, but had to leave the country with work, so i got my solicitor onto it. and as i have previous conviction for careless driving, and where i live, there was a bit of a crack down on people with "noisy chav cars" as it was said, she said it was looking bleak. i called my solicitor from singapore, ad she told me the fiscal is gunna fuck me for it (where i live, the judge does fuck all but sit in the court, the fiscal is the one who fucks everyone over) she told me, if i plead not guilty to dangerous, i will get a 3-5 year ban, and i will 90% be convicted for it. i asked what other option i had, and she said, we can make a deal for careless, if i plead guilty to careless, the fiscal will accept the plea at a lesser charge, drop it, and i will then get a 6 month ban for it.
so all in all, i got shafted, my solicitor didnt do much in the way of help, and me working away didnt help that much, as i was pressured into it. but i believe, that wether i'd been home or not, they wer gunna get me, and that was it.

If you had denied the fact you had overtaken anyone i truly believe nothing could have been done. You were very honest and that was your downfall.
I see why, as im sometimes a little to honest myself. You were obviously not to expect these kind of statements from these people.

thats it mate, i couldnt believe it, they asked me if i'd been on that road, i said yes. asked if i overtook a bmw, i said yes. and then they charged me. when they first turned up, i thought maybe something had happened on the road, some1 had an accident and they wer looking for witnesses or something, i had nothing to hide from them. and as you say, me sayin i was on the road, and i overtook that car. then put me in the shit.

Great advice, jesus, I didn't know you could be done just by someone giving a statement, I've overtaken people as they were driving at 30/40mph on a 60mph road (im trying to get to work), and they flashed their lights at me, I was like wtf, just because I pinned it to get past them.
Some people have a chip on their shoulder when people try to overtake them, for example people that accelerate when you try to overtake them, I meant wtf its really dangerous. Some prick done that to my girlfriend, and she couldn't pull back in (she was driving a Vitara JLX, not much kick to it), she had to slam on the brakes and try and pull in to avoid a smash, the dude would not let her overtake, asshole. Normally some old fucker.
