Poor day @ the rollers

Went to Hypertech today to get the hybrid set up with the FCON + GCC......not so good. Major restriction on either the air filters side or intercooler piping. I did have the mushroom filter on before,but no space ment i had to switch to a k+n thats been kicking about the garage for ages, also the numberplate covering half the cooler wont help.You can feel when driving hard as if its not reached its peak if you understand,like holding back right through the revs.I just washed out and lubed the k+n there but no diffrence.Need to get a somemore silicone and make up a route for the mushroom to fit back in. Have to say i was happy with hypertech though,Duncan is a sound guy.Had me in the car with him while doing adjustments and explaining the whole AFR thing, not hiding stuff like dastek.He loves to talk.

So to wrap it up.....Hybrid turbo @ 1.2 bar, with supporting mods = 157.3 bhp @ flywheel :(

On a side note, it has nothing to do with the tailing off i had last nite, i fixed that but rekon the filter is still shit.....or a whole list of other problems lol.

unlucky mate, but atleast it gives you places to improve for the future, get rid of that standard inlet track and u will see big improvements

Have you a boost leak??

I know how u feel mate! my car made a poor result on the rr too!! :shoot:
 
No boost leak, graph shows a solid 1.2 bar. Ill try and get them uploaded to show.My mate with the paseo has pretty much identical mods and his graph shows full boost coming on nearly 1k revs earlier lol.
 
On the other thread mate, turned out the filter wasnt on the joiner but i had horsed the jubilee clip right down so the rubber neck folded over half the inlet :homer: Sorted that last night though.
