Well, about a month ago, I posted up a wanted topic for a front mounted air filter kit and received a response in the form of a link, to ECC's kit.

The pics looked brilliant of their offerings, and the price sempt spot on also, so I went for it and ordered the kit.

This was Friday, at about mid-day when I sent the funds via PayPal.

The item was in my workshop by 11am this morning! :O

Truly staggered by the speed of delivery, with only a £5 charge, :)

Then of course, I opened the well packaged product, to discover the best value product I have ever bought for the GT!

The quality of this kit is superb, with everything needed to fit, all protectively wrapped, neatly in the box.

In the kit there are;

Silicone 90deg reducer,
304 Stainless 90deg reducer,
AEM Dry filter,
2x AEM Decals,
3x jubilee clips,

:)

The only issue with the whole kit, is that the turbo end of the silicone, is about 1 1/2" too long, and had to be trimmed slightly to fit behind the PAS pump.... DODDLE :)

All in all, easy to fit, looks mint and sounds the part!

I would reccomend everyone in this sector, to buy this product!!! :drive:

Best wishes, Tommy.

Nice little write up there...

But like said a link and a couple of finished pic's would go well in this thread...

yeah I have one and agree with everything, came super fast, and as said, only thing needed doing was about 3/4 inch trimming off the silicone pipe that fits the turbo, otherwise it wants to bend up and off the inlet, quick trim sorted it right out

yeah thatd be a good idea bob, as I cut mine with a stanley lol, all i had, and although it works 100% fine, it wernt the prettiest cut lol. i cut off 3/4's of an inch and fits perfect now. hope that helps

what part needed trimming? Pics?

I fitted mine with no trimming at all. Went straight on 100%

I didn't trim mine either, went on no problem. But yea, it probably would be a better fit if the silicon was trimmed slightly shorter where it fits onto the turbo inlet (to clear the oil filter a bit better).

Suppose that could be to do with some aftermarket manifolds where the turbo might be sitting a bit to close to the oil filter than the standard manifold

Does look a nice bit of kit for the money! :drive:

Imo id leave it for the customer to do, as sigma said he cut 1.5" and durmz said he cut 3/4" so maybe better leaving them to trim it to their requirements!?
Unless that was said with tongue in cheek seeing as it isnt much hassle for anyone :p

i have a standard mani and turbo. i had to cut a fair whack off otherwise it would not fit onto the turbo due to oil filter.

tbh aiden i didnt think of that so thats a good point. i have an sps mani and trimmed to avoid oil filter.

so yeah maybe it is a good idea to leave trimming to customer
