at the end of the day you lent him to car to help him out or what ever so you shouldnt be penalised for that, i'd take full responsibilty if i crashed someone's car and make sure i paid them back weather its money, blood or sweat!

Thats rediculous, the first thing I'd do is hand my keys over to my brother if I couldn't cover the cost of the damage.

Fuck it, inform the police he was driving it without permission :)

feck the tough luck, he was legally covered to drive it! if lets say you borrowed your parents car in the same situation, and wrote it off, would you say "sorry dad, tough luck for lending me the car, you'll know better next time"?! i don't think so!!

I was NOT legally insured to drive the car, thought I was but of course wes didnt have the car insured as what it was, it was highly modified and turbocharged and was insured as a bog standard altezza. And thats why he has no money from the car now.
The only reason I was driving it was because of him, if he wants to put this up here then he should at least get the facts right.

My first car was bought off wes for €8000, he then crashed it and all i got from insurance was €5500 leaving me down €2500, I never asked for the money off him and he was in no rush to offer it to me.

This argument has no place on here but if he wants to make me look bad on here then fair enough but he could at least tell the whole story

This is gonna get locked - It is only going to turn ugly. This is more aimed at Wes, no need to bring family squabbles onto a forum. (This is due to both parties being members) Sit down and talk about it with your family.
