this is by far one of the worst search features Ive used on a forum. Ive been in the forum game for a while.

Same questions keep popping up over and over. The search only allows for 4 or more characters. Second, the whole 15sec timer between searches make searching that much more a pain. It sometimes take 10+ searches before you find the right wording to get the results you are looking for. There are times even recently where I have given up on the search feature and just made a new thread knowing damn well there is one SOMEWHERE on this site but I cant FIND it.

I know these are easy things to change in the back end as I have nearly a decade of forum exp and have been the Admin or multiple forums when they were around (Distraction Gaming Forums, Nevada Wrestling Forums, Felony Skate Team Forums, some other not so important ones also)

The search only allows for 4 or more characters.

You can add a * as a wildcard to any 3 character search term to help narrow down the search results a little more.

i.e. If you wanted to do a search using the term 'CT9 manifold' enter the search term 'CT9* manifold'.

Its worth placing double quotas round the search string for example use ' "CT9* manifold" ' or the search engine converts <space> to <or> and decides your looking for 'CT9*' or 'manifold' and comes back with a load of non-specific results.
