On the 14/07/08 (Thursday) on the advice of Dougie at Trix I took my car to "Charlie" at Manse Vehicle Management (Cairneyhill) to have a replacement clutch fitted.
Later that day I went to pick the car up, clutch was fitted and MVM had helped themselves to a wee run in the car.
car seemed fine and drove like a dream, got the car home and as I got out I spotted a silver shine from the front wheel, when looking closer I found that all of the runs for the wheel nuts on both front wheels were gouged and scratched from being removed.
I immediately phoned Charlie to let him know, he denied causing the damage but did ask to see the car over the weekend, I told him I would be in straight after work the next day (Friday) so I went in and Charlie had a look at the wheels, maintaining that they didn’t damage them but did admit that they had to "make a special tool to remove the wheels" I explained that the wheels were fine when the went in and now its only the two front wheels (the ones they had to remove) which were damaged. He then agreed to repair the damage to the alloys and told me he would speak to the guy that repairs their wheels to get them done, he said this could take till Sunday as the guy was "on holiday" quite happy that it was being resolved I left and awaited the call back....... nothing, I left it till the following Wednesday and called him up, unfortunately he wasn’t around so I left a message for him to call me back..... nothing, I called the next day and got him, he apologised for not phoning but promised that he would speak to the guy and call me by Friday.
Friday came...... nothing I left it over the weekend and called him on Monday, he seemed annoyed that I was chasing him as told me that the guy was on holiday and there was nothing he could do, he said he would phone me as soon as he knew.
I left it 2 weeks...... nothing, so I called him up on the 6th of august and told him he had till that Friday to get back to me as it had been weeks and he hadn’t called me once he again denied that they caused any damage and said that he hadn’t agreed to repair the wheels he only said he would out of good will and that he would "get round to it" not interested in an argument I ended the conversation with the re-iteration of the Friday deadline.
Friday...... nothing

I have now written a formal request for repair and await a response...

Danm...

Well these things happen, there are way too many shitty companies around....

thats why no one touches my car other than me and my friends, I am lucky enough to have a few friends that are mechanics....

I hope that everything gets sorted for you....
