small progress on my gt

When you are copying them from Photobucket, copy the IMG link, then just the pics appear. Good progress on the car so far, a respray will be expensive, could a few smart repairs cover what you want done?

Thought it was about time I started a bit of a write up on my gt.
so when I got it the first thing I done was got it a full service and disks and pads all round and got an alarm installed.
there was plenty of faults that I found but mainly cosmetic being scrapes and someones real bad jobs on interior and wiring etc.
I didnt want to do much to it until I got m.o.t
so a few trips to jays sorted out a few things.
First being the centre console and a few switches
Starting with this
and finishing like this
Jay also checked compression and done a fuel set up and give it a good check over
On the next visit jay managed to get me a good standard turbo to replace my really bad smoking speedvision hybrid.
so m.o.t came and passed first time with just a few droplinks and brakes etc installed
I havnt really done much to it apart from replacing a few plastics here and there.
But the plans for the near future is that the standard bonnet is going on (phil is getting the other 1)
Standard interior (phil is getting the seats)
a respray to sort out all the scrapes and sort out the spats and sideskirts maybe refurb wheels or go gloss black with them
armrest and rubber boot mat to be collected from jay
Tidy up engine bay
after that im sure il think of something but maybe bigger turbo.

so still a long way to go but hopefully 2014 can bring me time and money to get it all done
