TERCEL1: A Baker's Dozen

With my new shift light installed, I just had to go try it out and
so this Sunday morning I set off for an afternoon of
test 'n' tune at Maryland 75-80 Dragway.

Read saga of the previous shift light HERE!

Upon arrival (and thank goodness I checked before deflating
TERCEL1's front tires) I discovered THIS:

Walking through the pits, with camera in hand, I ran into a few
worthy targets so, I took aim and SHOT....

There were a many more worthwhile targets but, my thoughts
were interrupted by the following announcement over the
PA system, "Lanes 1 and 2 are now open for cars wanting
to run test 'n' tune"

I made a bee-line over to lane #2 and as luck would have it, I
was the first car in line and when I glanced over to what was
in lane #1, I laughed. I motioned to the driver to roll down his
window and said, "I knew who's gonna win this race!"

:haha::haha::haha:

That Roadrunner must've brought out the best in me and
TERCEL1 'cuz we ran a NEW PERSONAL BEST...

Thanks... The car in the other lane was a Plymouth Roadrunner (not quite sure
of the year? 1968-70?) and yes, it beat me... as you can see by the time slip
in the opening post:
