TERCEL1: An UP HILL journey!

I can finally say it, "BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!"

What I'm talking about is Cecil County Dragway... I've been there
many times over my short drag racing experiences, and while I'm
always praising the better times I've gotten at that track,
a friend of mine keeps telling me (although, he's never
"been THERE nor, done THAT") the reason for my great times is
because the track (are you ready for this?), because the track
goes DOWN HILL...

Well, while waiting for one of my 16 runs today (9am-1pm with
a 45 minute break) I snapped this photo... If anything, the
track clearly goes UP HILL... See for yourself:

Here's a photo I took 2 years ago at Cecil County Dragway...

...and again the track (if anything) is going UP HILL... it's the
staging lanes which go down hill, NOT THE TRACK... after all,
"been there, done that" (hahaha)

Speaking about staging lanes, here's a familiar face... (love that LOWDOWN attitude):

...and finally, the report card of today's outting:

this track, on a Saturday, although it costs $35 for test'n'tune,
you do get your money's worth... I've NEVER been disappointed
with the number of runs I've gotten there... first 11 runs today
occured within 72 minutes (Run#056 at 9:08 am, Run#066 at
10:20 am)

I ran 5 more runs and then bailed out after my final run at
12:49 pm! The track, by the way, is open Saturdays until
4 or 5 pm...

I know it's a little outta the way for many of us but,

YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH!!!!

Hey Alf,

thats cool man, nice result there for Tercel1

Any luck with finding a new job?

Nothing yet... still pounding the pavement but, the deal is that my contract
has the company paying me my regular full-time salary through June 21st...
Sorta like PINKS, "Get a job, lose your salary!"

I had a part time offer to do the Sunday Brunch at WASH-FM but, upon
investigating my contract, I'd have lost my salary... so it was either be on
the air and get paid for a once a week airshift or stay off the air and
continue getting paid through June 21st...

I am, however, trying to line something up for June 21st or even a little
before that time (a week or so)

Thanks for your thoughts in both forms of pounding the pavement...
job hunting and lower ET hunting!
