my mate is just after calling over and theres a thumping noise coming from his glanza, he thinks its an engine mount but hes not sure!! anybody no what this could be??

sounds like its under the tmic, its a constant noise but isnt a loud thump but you can still hear its there

Is it there all the time? or only on idle etc?
Does it speed it when the revs go up?

it was there all the time on idle, i didnt hear it when it was reved but he said it happened while he was driving so it must happen aswell when the revs are up

All my engine mounts are knackered .. Have ordered them all anyway but when mine drives over bumps you can hear a massive cracking sound. Dosnt do it on idle so doubt it is them

ok hes after texting me and telling me he brought it to a mechanic and he said that the engine sounds grand and that the noise is an electrical problem but nothing to worry about, but he got the glanza jump started last saturday with the kill switch on and didnt realise it untill afterwards so could it be that the electronics or battery got overcharged..??
