Toy Tuning :(

Toy Tuning...

Hey, wasnt sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it! Tried searching the forum but there seems to be no recent updates on this situation!

Was just wandering if anyone has made any progress, as in got a refund or received any goods that they've ordered? (or even a response!)

I wasn't aware of the whole toy tuning situation and sadly joined this forum after purchasing around £200 of servicing parts for my glanza!

Since ordering I've had zero response from Toy Tuning, even after sending emails and letters to addresses given on the order confirmational email AND address given to me by Companies House.

I've contacted consumer direct and trading standards but by law they have 30days to produce a refund/the goods ordered. So they have just over a week to go before their time runs out.

Any help/feedback would be appreciated!

Cheers

Chris

Youv done basically all you can mate, except from going to the door personally.
TBH, these threads pop up frequently and it just doesnt seem to have any effect.
Toy tunning are no longer traders on here and rightly so with the mess they are in.
Think youv done all you can with goin to trading standards etc. best of luck.

Thats shite to hear min, i managed to get braided lines just before all this stuff started happening with them.

Iv heard of a few folk just randomely receiving the parts way after they paid for them.

Do you have a contact number? Im sure a few people on here should be able to pm you with it.

i heard from martina on thursday saying she would sort my lsd out on friday or a full refund.
i sent an email back saying i just wanted my money back
not heard since then and no refund so looks like another 3 week wait for a response

I've had a few emails from Toby in the past few days, and recieved one today off Martina so they are still about answering emails I imagine. Mine is about a car though not car parts. Does the number work yet?

Trading Standards aren't all they are cracked up to be, I know from experience that they do very little in the grand scheme of things.

Ordered a wheel bearing 6 days ago, still not here (not really expecting it yet either), but it's the communication I'm pissed about. I've sent 3 e-mails asking about rush delivery, none were responded to, so I ordered anyways, as my car is apart in my shop and it's my daily driver, I simply NEED this thing back on the road, that simple. None of my emails were responded to, and now asking for the status of my bearing has not been responded to either. I sent a very angry email as I'm simply fed up with Toytuning's bullshit policy of saying one thing and doing another. This is and will be the last item I order from them.

If you used paypal lodge a dispute immediately and if you used a credit card contact your credit card company asap and ask what their process is for having your money refunded.

Martina replied to one of my emails, seeminly only because camskill brought it up with Toby. They denied ever receiving anything about rush shipping etc. However she did refund the money.

I got a refund... it was meant to be a full refund and I got £51.49 although I spent £140... it went from a full refund with some parts to a cambelt refund and some free parts... reservoir covers with toy tuning on them... not sure I want to display their company name on my car... has only taken 7 months to get this far with them. Although... info for all of you out there still struggling...

Consumer direct were pretty awesome help and basically told me my rights and what I can and can't do, including getting my loss of earnings from them for all the removal and refit of the incorrect parts, as I had them fitted on the understanding they are a specialist and should have sent me the correct parts to begin with.

You know it only costs in the region of £40 to take someone to a small claims court and it will end up costing them thousands... :) and you will be fully compensated :) My dad did this and he got his loss of earnings reimbursed at his private rate of £1000 a day. Plus a new wheel for the car fitted etc.

You never know worth looking into :)
