I wouldnt bother declaring a hybrid tubby. Looks exactly standard when its on the car.

But yeah id declare a FMIC when you put it on as its fairly obvious.

same here. never declared the hybrid as you would never know anyway.

i declare all my mods, then if i fit anything i tell them once its fitted. i asked them and they said they are not interested in things you will be fitting, just whats fitted

Yeah f**k em! :haha:

you may end up 'f$&king yourself' if you hit a Ferrari then your insurance company finds you have mods you havnt declared. most insurance companies use any excuse not to pay out.
Ferraris start at £13k for a second hand one on auto trader, a bit more expensive than £100 a year extra for a few mods.

plus, technically your not insured if you dot declare mods.

you will have no insurance and in the long run it puts ours up to pay for it...

i think thats the point where you realised you had lost your arguement. being uninsured really only affects that sole person or persons involved in an accident, not the premium of others driving a similar type of car as it doesnt get noted as "another crashed starlet" more as "another uninsured driver"

i have had this experience and legalities thrown at me previously as i found myself uninsured having had an accident.

as far as I am aware the UK has a similar system to Ireland. Insurance companies contribute to a fund which can be called upon if an insured driver is hit by an uninsured driver.

This fund is funded by insurance companies and so if it is called upon alot then insurance companies have to contribute more... ultimately it is the customer who will pick up the tab.

well i wasnt aware of that! sorry it would seem that being deemed uninsured will affect other road users too a small degree from what dylan has said.
