urgent pcv valve help

well ive read that different pcv valves have different flow rates.
the one ive just fitted was from an n/a an it did look physically different. my turbo one is black and a slightly different shape to the grey n/a one.
ive switch it to the n/a one as the old one was leaking. now im not sure if i should have because now the crank case pressure seems high. when i take the breather pipe off its whistling like a kettle?????

yeah im not driving my car tommorow untill i swap back. i think the old valve is gonna go back in untill i can get to toyota.
i basically swaped the valves over and then took the brather pipe of as i was gonna put a filter on there. then i noticed the whisling. the breather making that whistling on idle, is that bad? is that not piston ring related?
