There is a guy on the 106 forums with a Turbo'd 106 GTi - it's running 500 WHP. its completely un-useable. Spins in every gear.
did it say in the video it was a daily driver?
Also Dan you take your car to the quarter mile to see how fast it can go down it... why bother even running or timing if you are going to come out with all those excuses "the driver, the tyres, the weather... etc etc etc" who cares? All anyone is interested in is the time. By your thinking we could roll a bmx out on to the track and say well it only did a 2 minutes run but if we had the right rider, tyres, better weather etc etc god knows what we could have got... but but but.. but nothing... take a car on the quarter mile and accept the time thats given and if there are tyre issues, driver issues weather issues then next time address them
got a link to the 106 dude...wud be an interesting readup
the Vtec engines weather they are turbod or N/A seem to have very very good traction compared to other cars, probably due to their power band. And the "torque" distributed in more revs as apposed to all the torque in fewer revs..........
If your think of the same one i think you are its running 371whp and 420fhp! Its a very good freind of mine and when we went out for a play my car pulled away from it due to the ammount off lag and wheel spin! He was only running 13psi at the time, its an absolute animal, but all its really good for is shreading tyres!

Traction has very very little to do with engines mate. It's all to do with the drivechain, suspension, geometery and tyre setup.
Hence why my 200+bhp Starlet spins like fook and struggles to get traction until 3rd gear and my mates 700bhp Skyline has no problem getting traction from the word go.
where was 50CENT at??? GUNIT RR day! lol
Lad i know from rotherham, he built a 400bhp 1.6 non-vtec EG6... it ran 12s and only cost him £2k to build...
he knows what he's doing tho he does all his own work including tuning his own cars and make his own manifolds...
I look it it different to you.
Im just saying a car cant be judged on a time it put down on the quarter mile. You have to look at the bigger picture. There are reasons for why it got such a bad time for the power. And they are very good reasons that will explain alot. At 400BHP that thing will slaughter most cars. I can look beyond 1 quarter mile time.
Im not sticking up for the honda anyway lol, im talking in general about any car. Ive heard of very high powered starlets getting terrible times and people saying its poo etc etc, And i think :holdit: :shoot:
