What allen screws do you use for a steering wheel?

You know the allen headed screws used on the steering wheel? (to hold wheel to boss, which are visible when using a momo etc wheel)

what are they? wanna buy the right thing! (M4/5/6 ?)

I have seen m6 and m5 bolts on a steering wheel boss so could be either.

also, it depends on the type of wheel as to whether it is a countersunk allen bolt or just a dome head allen bolt.

what brand is your boss? and do you have a pic of the wheel where it bolts on?

that is a terrible pic.

ok so we need countersunk, that is a start.

to check what the thread is. remove a 6mm bolt from somewhere on the car and see if it will screw into the hole on the boss.
places to find a 6mm bolt would be holding the rear wiper motor in, on the passenger side back corner of the cam cover or the 2 bolts holding the idle control valve onto the inlet.

if they screw in its M6, if they wont screw in its a M5.
