What is a Panhard Rod?

It is a component of the rear suspension that connects the axle to the body. Basically it's a straight beam with two large bolts at either end.

When lowering a vehicle you can upset the vehicle's alignment (the way the wheels line up with the front axle) and so may need to replace the standard panhard rod with an adjustable version.
