What next?

Right, so a bodyshop is coming to take my car tomorrow to see if its repairable regardless to the fact that the woman on the phone said it was considered a write off....

what is the next step.
My excess is £600 and i have been told that upon collection of the car that i am to pay to the garage £600 (if i want to buy it) yet the lady on the phone said that they would take it out of my settlement figure.

how does it work?

No you dont have to pay a thing to the garage when they get ya car, they will take it away then inform ya insurance if its repairable or not...

Then the insurance will call you to let you know, if its a write off they will offer ya an amount but never acept the first offer as its normally crap but once you have acepted an offer they will then take your access out from that...

So basicly if its repaired you get ya car back..

If not they will offer you payment..e.g £2000 but you will only get £1400 with access taken out..

as above you don't pay the garage a thing when they collect the car, it'll just come out of the settlement.

As what Stu said above really. They declare it written off or not and then if it is you get a chance to buy it back and they then take the money out of the settlement.

I valued the motor at £3k for the Glanza, anybody have any idea what market value they are at at the moment? thanks
