Hi guys,

I'm looking for a new wireless router as my current one is playing up and I can't be arsed with it.

It needs to be a wireless, and needs to be of a decent speed.

Not looking to spend too much (current one cost me £100 and is shit)

Any input appreciated.

Comparison charts...

have 4 machines hanging of mine laptop, pc, cable box, qnap storage . Is capable of up to 180 connections, 300mbps wireless blah blah blah.

The 1000Mbps - 4-port switch sold it for me.

Whats your current 1 Idrees ?

Don't touch Belkin with a barge pole I've had 1 that eventually was replaced but same probs customer service is crap and router is worse... Netgear without a doubt for home use I have had the netgear dg834N for 2 years now and not missed a beat all my family now use them brilliant. D-link are good too.

Pain in the ass, only works when it wants to.

Its decided to work again now so lets just hope it remains this way!! If not, I think I'll go for the Netgear in the link above. Rep added guys, thanks for your input.

Netgear N router paid 99 quid i think from comet, works well with speeds of 270-300mbps wirelsss

x2 with that comment,

it also has very very good range, my house has big thick walls and im in the opposite end of the house to the modem and i still get 65% connection so not to bad at all would defo recommend.

and also there helpline is 24 7 and free

ive got a netgear 108 and it was an ex office item so was free, had it 4years and its never gone wrong :)

Had that version, very reliable but needed something to stream movies and large stuff wirelessy.

So far i had 3 54mbps routers, 1 108mbps and now im on my N router. Netgear all the way

My cuz had belkin version similer to that and he kept disconnecting from it. the laptop overheated (god knows why). :p

Yeh i think it should cope fine with that, only problem i had with it when you do simutanus stuff from it at the same time. It just freezes or crashes totaly :(

cable only gave a dinky little modem so i had 2 splash out for a router my self.
